
Two gunmen were killed while they have been trying to plant an explosive charge in eastern Mosul city, Ninawa governorate, a police source said. In the meantime, Iraqi forces arrested 10 terror suspects and seized 27 explosive charges in a security crackdown on Ninawa governorate, located some 405 kilometers north of Baghdad, the source added. The source said an Iraqi infantry squad arrested 10 terror suspects under Article 4 of the anti-terror law. The operation resulted in the capture of 27 explosive charges, five mortar shells and 17 unlicensed cars. Ninawa governorate and its main city of Mosul have been recently targeted by attacks and bombings against civilians and security elements alike. Source: MENA
