Informed sources have told Arabstoday that security services in the North Sinai governorate, managed to thwart an attempt by African immigrants to sneak into Israel, across the international borders with Egypt. Sources said that during a routine check on the border area between Egypt and Israel, at the international mark number nine, South Rafah crossing, Egyptian officers were able to arrest a two Sudanese men aged 20. The duo were attempting to cross the barbed wire separating Egypt and Israel. In questioning, the immigrants admitted that they tried to sneak into Israel in search of jobs and had paid $1500 each to gangs who promised to facilitate their entry into Israeli territory.
