Three members of Daesh terrorist group were killed during clashes with the Libyan army in Benghazi, said Libyan army special forces chief Miloud Zouei.
The Libyan army hunted down a number of Daesh members who tried to infiltrate into Benghazi's Bout Atni district, killing three of the militants, Zouei said in statements Sunday.
Libya plunged into chaos following the 2011 uprising that toppled longtime leader Muammar Gaddafi.
Benghazi has witnessed fierce armed clashes between the army and those supporting its forces against Ansar Al-Sharia and Shura Council of Benghazi militant groups on the other side.
