
Seven policemen were killed and injured in two separate attacks in Mosul city, central Ninawa governorate, situated some 405 kilometers north of Baghdad, security sources said. Unidentified gunmen attacked on Sunday a police convoy in southern Mosul, igniting clashes between the two sides which left two policemen killed and another wounded. In the second incident, gunmen attacked a police station on Mosul-Baghdad road. Clashes erupted between the two sides and resulted in the killing of two policemen and the injury of three others. Ninawa governorate and its main city of Mosul have recently been hit by a wave of violence that claimed a large number of casualties among civilians and policemen alike. Source: MENA
