Major Abdessalam Jalloud, member of Libya's 1969 Revolutionary Command Council, left on Saturday at dawn the Djerba-Zarzis international airport, heading for Italy. Former number 2 of Gaddafi's regime, Abdessalam Jalloud had taken refuge on Friday in the city of Zenten, in Djebel Nefoussa, south-west Tripoli, which is under the control of the Libyan rebels, before entering the Tunisian territory. For his part, Libyan Oil Minister Omrane Boukraa had not returned last Thursday to Libya, after a mission in Italy. He had preferred to interrupt his trip and head to Tunisia.
