Yemeni security forces stopped a suspected Al-Qaeda suicide bombing targeted at the Turkish Foreign Minister, on his visit to Sanaa on Sunday night. Sources in the Yemeni capital told Arabstoday that security forces prevented the attempted bombing, which used explosive belts, in the middle of Sanaa city. The belt was defused and the attacker arrested at a security point, which suggests he was targeting the Turkish minister's procession as it crossed the point, added the sources. It is believed Al-Qaeda was behind the attempted attack, which coincided with the visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. Ahmet Davutoglu arrived in Sanaa on Saturday to sign agreements with the Yemeni government and meet officials including President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
