
Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC), arrived today in Vienna, leading the FNC delegation in an official visit.
During the visit, Al Qubaisi will hold discussions with a number of Austrian officials, especially President of Austria Heinz Fischer.
Upon her arrival and her accompanying delegation, Al Qubaisi was received by Reinhold Lopatka, the Leader of Austrian People’s Party Parliamentary Group of Austria’s National Council, one of the key political figures in Austria.
Lopatka welcomed her and her accompanying delegation and extended thanks and appreciation for visiting Austria. He wished that the discussions of the Emirati delegation and Austrian officials would contribute to enhancing the historic ties between the two countries at all levels.
Al Qubaisi expressed her satisfaction at the level of friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Austria, noting that the strategic partnership between the two countries witnessed a strong leap.
The FNC delegation includes members of the Parliamentary Friendship Commission, which comprises of Abdul Aziz Abdullah Salem Al Zaabi, Second Deputy Speaker of the FNC, Ali Jassim, Afra Al Basti, A'za Suleiman, Saeed Al Rumaithi, Dr. Saeed Al-Mutawa and Dr. Mohamed Al Mahrazi, members of the Council, and Abdulrahman Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs.
