Attack on checkpoint in Yemen leaves 1 dead

One wanted person was killed and two of his colleagues were injured when they attacked a checkpoint in the southern Aden governorate on Saturday, Yemeni interior ministry said. A group of gunmen opened fire at the servicemen in the checkpoint but the personnel retaliated killing one of the attackers and wounded two others, the ministry added in a statement. The other armed attackers managed to escape, it said, adding that the wounded were taken to hospital.
