UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon has slammed violence acts that took place on Sunday, leaving scores of people dead and injured. He also slammed the explosion which hit the vicinity of South Sinai Security Directorate in Al-Tor town on Monday morning and left three policemen killed and 48 others injured. "The Secretary General once again stresses the importance of peaceful protest, respect for freedom of assembly and commitment to non-violence ... (and) continues to underscore the need for political inclusion, full respect for human rights, including of those detained in prison, and the rule of law as the basis for a peaceful, democratic transition in Egypt," Ban's press office said in a statement. "These are the same principles to which the Egyptian authorities themselves have committed in the roadmap they have set forth," he added. Source: MENA
