Egyptian security forces arrested a senior Muslim Brotherhood spokesperson in the early hours of Thursday Morning in Nasr City, eastern Cairo. Ahmed Aref was transferred to Tora prison facing charges of incitement to violence and murder of protesters. "Security forces arrested Aref without any charge," the Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) said in a statement. The party added that Aref was detained because "coup leaders are afraid of any opposition". Sources told Arab Today that Aref was captured at his father-in-law's flat, in Abbas el-Akkad ?street, Nasr City. Aref is the latest Muslim Brotherhood figure to be detained in Egypt, following the arrests of Supreme Guide ?Mohammed Badie and the preacher Safwat Hegazy, earlier this week.
