The terrorist Daesh group has claimed responsibility for bombing a security checkpoint in Janzour area in western Tripoli.
Two soldiers were killed and 27 others wounded in the attack.
Soldiers of the caliphate bombed the checkpoint on the coastal road, the group tweeted Monday, vowing to carry out more attacks.
A bag full of explosives had been placed near the wall of the checkpoint, said Essam al Naas, the spokesman for the security operations room in Tripoli.
