Egypt will help the Palestinian people

Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammad Kamel Amr stated: "The Palestinian issue is one of the most important key issues for Egyptian Foreign affairs.  Officials insist that the Palestinian issue occupies this position in all international events." Amr stressed during his meeting with the Palestinian Foreign Minister, Salam Fayyad, in the Ministry's headquarters in Cairo that Egypt will provide all the aid for the Palestinian people." The official spokeswoman to the Foreign Ministry said: "The meeting which took place at the Foreign Ministry dealt with developments in the Palestinian reconciliation and efforts on the path of political settlement." They also discussed the September bid for statehood at the United Nations, in the context of the continued Egyptian-Palestinian coordination on these issues, in order to obtain international recognition of the Palestinian state.
