The Egyptian presidency issued a statement on Friday condemning the multiple explosions that rocked the city of Cairo earlier on Friday. These explosions and acts of terror will not go unpunished, said the statement, emphasizing the government's earnestness in rooting out the scourge of terrorism in Egypt and vowing to track down and bring to justice all those involved in the explosions. Any acts aimed at destabilizing the society will push the people of Egypt to rally more around their leadership in order to bring to fruition the goals of the January 25 and June 30 revolutions, added the statement. In a similar statement, the Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby stressed support of the Egyptian people in their fight against terrorism and forces that "seek to take the country back to the stone age."
