The Secretary General of the El Nour Egyptian Salafist party in Domyat announced on Sunday that he will not participate in Friday’s demonstrations. The party has decided to hold a series of mass conferences for those Salafist party leaders, instead of demonstrating. They will invite members, who are participating in the constitutional committee, to exchange point of views and hold discussions about the constitutional draft and the form of constitution that the party wishes to see in the future. The party secretary general confirmed that despite not participating in the demonstrations, they still value the Egyptians’ right to express their point of view in all ways according to law, freedom and respect. The press official for the Amr Salem party has declared that the party in Domyat has decided to hold its periodic meeting - headed by the Secretary General for El Nour party Tarek Al Desouky - in the attendance of the First Deputy Walid Samaha and the party General Secretary in the governorate, Mohamed Shalaby. They will discuss the party training plan aiming at increasing the political performance of the party cadres.
