Eichhorst is also the head of the EU delegation in Lebanon which met today with the Secretary-General of the ministry of foreign affairs, Ambassador Wafik Rahimi to discuss the possibility of EU monitoring of the elections. Eichhorst said the meeting also discussed the regional situation, the outcome of the Arab-Russian Forum held recently in Moscow and the general situation in Lebanon, including elections and security.
