Fatah Movement has received an invitation from the Islamic movement of Hamas to participate in reviving the memory of Hamas’ establishment scheduled to be held on Saturday in Gaza. A member from the Fatah Movement group, Nabil Shaath participated in the celebrations of Hamas for its victory against the Israeli occupation. Another member from Fatah, Yehia Rabah, said in a statement that Fatah would participate in Hamas' celebrations as they received an official invitation, adding that there is no difference between Fatah and Hamas to prevent them from participating in the event. He signalled that Fatah considers the invitation as a positive step - especially as it serves in the interests of national reconciliation. He added that Hamas’ celebrations comes in positive atmosphere, as it coincides with the consecutive victories that the Palestinian people achieved recently, including the military victory over Israel and gaining membership of the UN. On the other hand, leading member of Fatah, Faisal abu-Shahla said that Hamas’ invitation reflects political will to end the current Palestinian division. He expressed appreciation for such a step. He added that Fatah coordinates with Hamas in different activities after the mentioned victories and expressed his hope that his movement holds the memory of its establishment in participation with Hamas.
