Fatah urges Israel obey 2002 initiative

Member of Fatah’s Central Committee Saeb Erekat has urged Arab League member states to renew commitment to a 2002 initiative calling on Israel to withdraw from all Palestinian territories. “The Emir of Qatari has not called on us to adopt a new initiative, while we demanded an Egyptian-Qatari summit to finalise agreements made during Palestinian reconciliation talks in Cairo and Doha,” Erekat said in a press statement on Tuesday.
