The military court in Gaza has resumed the trial of the four men accused of murdering the Italian activist, Vittorio Arrigoni, in April. The session was attended by the accused, an Italian lawyer from the Arrigoni family, as well as Arrigoni’s foreign and Italian supporters, and human rights organisations. A judicial source told Arabstoday that two of the four men are accused are accused of the actual killing, while the other two are considered accomplices to the crime. The court heard from a number of witnesses today. Arrigoni, an Italian journalist and activist was kidnapped and later killed by a Salafist group in the Gaza strip. Arrigoni was the first foreigner to be killed in the Gaza strip since Hamas came into power in 2007. He was a member of the International Solidarity Movement, a movement sympathetic to the Palestinian cause.
