
The Standardization Organization of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States participated in the 39th meeting of General assembly of International Organization for Standardization (ISO), recently held in China in the presence of 500 participants from 120 countries, with the participation of 15 international and regional organizations, in addition to the 50th meeting of the Committee of developing countries (DEVCO).
The Secretary General of the Organization Nabil bin Ameen Mulla, Chairman of the Organization's delegation, said that the meeting discussed the future of standardization plans, their impact on the global economy and international trade, and strengthening the ways of cooperation between countries in the field of standardization, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Secretary General of the Organization reviewed the most prominent activities and achievements of the Standardization Organization and its role in supporting the economy of the Member States. He also met with the President of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Dr. Zhang Xiaogang.
