A tear gas bomb that was thrown inside the Demerdash Hospital by the ex-husband of a nurse resulted in the death of a two-year-old girl, a source inside the hospital. The girl was on a ventilator, according to a source at the hospital, and it is unclear whether she died as a result of the tear gas or because someone took her off the ventilator amidst the chaos. A man set off a bomb at a hospital in a surprising step to take revenge on ex-wife who works as a nurse. the grenade explosion which led to intensive smoke, caused state of panic and fear amongst patients and staff in the Demerdash hospital’s heart center, in Cairo. Witnesses from inside the hospital said to “Arabs of today”, "We were surprised when we hear the explosion, next to hospital’s heart center. The hospital’s security services discovered that one of Ain Shams University’s administrative staff has set off a bomb to take revenge from his ex-wife who works as a nurse in the hospital. Witnesses said that are several cases of suffocation, among staff and patients, are being treated at the nearby poison control center. The police Department was informed that ‘Ayman Sabri’ threw a tear gas bomb on his ex-wife who works as a nurse in Demerdash Hospital and ran away.
