A source in the Iraqi police said today, Tuesday 12th, that the Prime Minister's compound, the home of Deputy Prime Minister, Rose Nouri Shaways, and the Kuwaiti embassy in the Green Zone in central Baghdad, were targeted by three Katyusha rockets. The source said: "Three Katyusha rockets fell in the Green Zone in central Baghdad on Tuesday afternoon", noting that: "The first missile landed near the Prime Minister's compound, and the second landed near the home of the Deputy Prime Minister Rose Nouri Shaways, while the third landed on a residential compound near the Kuwaiti Embassy." No further details were given regarding the extent of the human and material losses incurred. The source, who requested anonymity, said: "I heard sirens blaring in the Green Zone, as U.S. helicopters flew across the sky in search of the rockets' source."
