
Iraq's Independent High Electoral Commission (IHAC) announced Sunday that Iraqis will head for balloting boxes in 20 Arab and foreign countries to elect a new parliament. Iraqi expatriates will head for balloting stations in 14 countries, including Egypt, US, Britain, Germany, Turkey, UAE, Iran and Jordan where the Iraqi communities are the largest. Other electoral stations will be held in France, Spain, Austria, Norway and Ireland. About 30,000 Iraqis living in Egypt will choose their parliament in balloting stations set up in the districts of Nasr City, 6th of October, Giza, Mansoura and Alexandria. More than 9,000 candidates are vying for 328 seats in the new parliament. Source: MENA
