Leading member of Egypt’s National Salvation Front George Isaac has refused proposals to form a coalition government. Isaac stressed the need for the formation of a National Salvation –led government and suggested that the country turns to outside specialists for help in overcoming the current crisis, regardless of partisan quotas. He blamed the wrong decisions taken by Egypt’s presidency for the present situation before praising the political performance of the Nour Party, and adding that the Salafist party had witnessed notable progress recently. However Isaac criticized a statement issued by one of the party’s leading members which claimed that the National Salvation Front supports the current violence. He stressed that the front is, and has always, called for peaceful demonstrations. Isaac concluded by saying that the National Salvation Front supports the demands of Tahrir’s demonstrators, and emphasized that his party would not join in the dialogue unless the president changes his stance.
