
The Israeli army arrested 10 Palestinians Thursday during dawn raids in several areas of the West Bank. Israel says the army was searching for wanted Palestinians and illegal weapons. Eight Palestinians were arrested as soldiers raided Badres village in west Ramallah. The remaining two were arrested in east Nablus. Local Palestinian sources have said Israeli forces destroyed property whilst storming houses, threatening to "burn down" the village of Telvit if "any weapons were not handed over." On Wednesday, 14 Palestinians were arrested by the Israeli army, including a minor, during raids on villages and towns in the centre and south of West Bank. Witnesses say raids took place amid heavy gunfire - Palestinian youth retaliated by throwing stones.
