Israel closes Taba border crossing for Egypt travelers

Israli authorities have decided to close the Taba border crossing for any travelers attempting to travel to Taba city in Sinai in Egypt, amid hot alerts of operations to take place from Sinai, bearing in mind that the state of alert was up again on Friday at the border area where large numbers of Israeli security forces are stationed, since the attack that took place and saw eight Israeli soldiers get killed near Eilat. Maariv newspaper pointed out that Israeli security system predicted that a “terrorist” organization will try to disrupt Palestinians from going to the UN for their statehood bid by carrying out operations against Israel. The newspaper explained that those warnings came from the security forces on Friday and did not stop for one minute. Previously, when the Eilat attacks took place, despite security fores receiving warnings they decided to keep them quiet from the public, but they have decided to do the opposite in this case.
