The Lebanese Attorney General, Hatem Mady, announced the start of an investigation into the forged drugs case. Among the accused are Abdullatif Abdul Moteleb Fanish, the brother of the State Minister for Administrative Development Affairs and Foad Ahmed Wahby. The Head of Prosecutor for the health committee and the member in the Future Movement, Ater Magdlany, visited the Attorney General stating that he has sent investigation teams in order to detect the seized drugs which have entered Lebanon illegally through rigged certificates and licenses. He added that results will be issued within 72 hours. In the first comment for one of the most prominent alliances to Hezbollah Lebanese, the Unification Movement, Tayyar Al Tawheed Al Lobnany's press centre declared the following statement: "The step taken by the the Lebanese Attorney General, Hatem Mady, by arresting the drugs smugglers is an important positive step."
