Lebanese Mossad ally suspect arrested

Security sources reported earlier today that a man who hails from the Hezbollah stronghold Dahieh who is suspected of having dealings with Israeli intelligence has been arrested. "The suspect fell into security forces' hands by evidence handed in by Hezbollah after they had detained and interrogated him for a while before handing him over to security forces. He has confessed that he has been dealing [with Israeli intelligence] for over 10 years," the source said. The arrested man [initials T. Gh.] worked for Israeli intelligence in Lebanon and Europe, where he spends a large chunk of his time. He is from the Dahieh in southern Beirut and his wife, who is from Bulgaria, has telephoned into many Lebanese media outlets saying that her husband was abducted by Hezbollah. This sparked speculation of links with the bombing incident which targeted Israeli tourists in Bulgaria in July 2012. There was, however, no evidence to support this speculation other than the fact that the detainee lived in Bulgaria. Security sources have confirmed that the Bulgarian authorities contacted Lebanese security agencies requesting information on T. Gh.
