Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati has held a meeting with Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon at the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The talks focused on the current situation in the Middle East, and the cooperation between Lebanon and international organisations regarding the issue of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon. Mikati also discussed the upcoming Kuwait conference, which will discuss the Syrian issue at the end of the month. The Prime Minister also met his Egyptian counterpart Hisham Kandil. Their discussions focused on ongoing preparations for the convening of the High Lebanese-Egyptian Committee in Beirut. Mikati also held talks with Georgia Prime Minister Bedzina Ivanishvili and Kurdish regional President Massoud Barzani.
