Lebanese sentenced to prison term on Israel spying charge

Permanent Military Court, headed by General Nizar Khalil released the verdict against Alfa employee Cherbel Azzi, communication and network engineer, for spying for Israel, Wednesday evening. The court sentenced him to 5 years of hard labor, based on law article no. 283 of penalties, stringently raised to 7 years, in addition to stripping him of his civil rights. It is worth mentioning that Azzi spent nearly 18 months in prison which is to be counted in his sentence.
