Lebanese Customs officials Tuesday denied trucks heading into Syria and Jordan from traveling through Masnaa crossing at the Lebanese-Syrian border in the Bekaa Valley.
Following clashes between the Syrian army and rebels, a Lebanese official told Petra's correspondent in Beirut that Lebanese authorities have received assurances that there were no injuries among truck drivers at the Syrian-Jordanian border and that the Lebanese truck convoy was returning home.
Some 200 to 250 trucks are stranded at the Syrian-Jordanian border after clashes erupted between the Syrian army and rebels at the Syrian-Jordanian border, the head of the Bekaa Farmers Gathering, Ibrahim Tarshishi said in a statement.
"There were injuries and deaths among truck drivers at the Nasib crossing," Tarshishi added.
