Mauritanian culture minister's partner arrested
Nouakchott - Mohamed Shina
A security force in Nouakchott arrested the husband of Mauritanian Minister of Culture, Sissa Bint Beeda late Monday evening, and led him to a military unit in the capital’s centre. Security sources told Arab Today that the minister's partner was accused of "beating up" the head of trade committee following a "financial dispute" - however, other sources suggest that the arrest may be related to corruption.
