Spokesperson of the ruling Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Mahmoud Ghozlan has claimed that the movement would abide by court rulings, after the Administrative Court suspended parliamentary elections. In a statement on Wednesday, Ghozlan said: "We can only obey the ruling until it is appealed or other legal procedures are taken in this regard." He added that the Shura Council had carried out Supreme Constitutional Court's (SCC) amendments of the electoral law and stated that referring the law back to the SCC would have delayed the elections. Earlier on Wednesday, Egypt's Administrative Court issued a ruling to declare President Mohammed Morsi's call for parliamentary elections void. The court also ordered that the electoral law is referred to the SCC.
