The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has issued a circular No. (3) for 2016 on including Emirates ID number within employees records in the Federal Financial system.
The Emirates ID is an essential reference for all financial transactions and procedures at the country’s level.
The circular stipulates that all ministries and federal entities linked to the federal financial system must enter or correct the Emirates ID numbers for all of their employees; whereby the Ministry of Finance (MoF) will withhold salaries of employees with incomplete national ID details by 07/10/2016; while other federal entities that adopt their own financial systems should continue to upload or correct employees Emirates ID numbers by latest 07/10/2016.
Younis Haji Al Khoori, Under-Secretary of MoF stated that the Ministry seeks to cooperate with various ministries and federal entities to ensure the completion of uploading accurate national ID numbers in the federal financial system.
Having the correct data for all government employees in ministries and federal entities will facilitate transactions, and follow up on their requests in a fast and accurate manner.
