
Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, visited the Emirates Society for the Talented, a public benefit body that aims to foster innovative skills of smart students.
Sheikh Mohammed, Sheikh Hamdan and Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamin, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, and Chairman of the Society, hear a presentation from Monira Safr, the Society's Secretary General, on the mission, objectives and strategy of the society. The presentation included intelligence quotient (IQ) tests for 50 secondary and high school students. Two of the 17 intelligent students who passed the test and will be sponsored by the society, briefed Sheikh Mohammed about their innovative scientific innovations. HH admired their innovative initiatives and encouraged them to foray into rare sciences including knowledge, economy and industry.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed admiration at the society's vision and objectives which focus on unlocking the talent of gifted students and create the incubator environment for building and developing their innovative skills, capacities and energies so as to harness them in the service of social and human development.
Founded in 1988, the public benefit body is planning to sponsor 150 smart and outstanding students over the next ten years.
