
Pakistan has expressed serious concerns over the recent Indian test of 1st nuclear powered ballistic missile submarine, terming it an act to impact the delicate strategic balance of the region.
Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria in a weekly press briefing said the launch of India’s nuclear submarine missile was a "serious development and would disturb strategic balance in south Asia describing it as nuclearisation of the Indian Ocean, it is "worrisome development for the region and the international community".
He said this does not cause threat to Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal, as Islamabad enjoys safety of its weapons, however, Pakistan has previously stated its willingness to work with India to prevent an arms race in the region.
