A Palestinian farmer has died of his wounds after being shot by Israeli forces in the town of Beit Lahiya in the north of the Gaza Strip. The Ministry of Health spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra said that the 21 year old farmer, Mustafa Abu Jarad, died of his wounds after he was shot on Monday afternoon while working in his agricultural field. Israeli forces opened fire on a group of farmers north of Beit Lahiya, and Abu Jarad suffered injuries to the head. He died later at Kamal Adwan Hospital, according to Palestinian medical sources. The Israeli army denied any connection to the incident. Israeli occupation forces have recently migrated towards the east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. According to security sources and eyewitnesses, a number of Israeli tanks accompanied by bulldozers penetrated Khan Younis amid sporadic shooting. No injuries were reported until now. The border areas of the Gaza have witnessed daily Israeli shootings which violate the terms of the ceasefire agreement signed in November between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation under Egyptian auspices.
