
A delegation from the Palestinian Fatah group visited Gaza on Wednesday, to welcome Palestinian prisoners released from Israeli prisons. Israel released 25 detainees from its prisons on Wednesday, many of whom were being held without charge, as part of the resumption of peace talks with Palestinian leaders. Fayez Abu Eita, spokesperson for Fatah which led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, said Secretary General of the Revolutionary Council Ameen Makboul met with families of the prisoners, and with Gaza council leader, Zakaria al Agha. A Palestinian source said the delegation would meet with Hamas leaders in the Strip, to discuss plans a reconciliation deal between the two groups.
