
Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh stressed that the country depends on ?itself in confronting challenges against it.? In press statements published Wednesday, Haniyeh excluded political conditions ?surrounding Gaza Strip will affect Hamas, adding that the country once witnessed "tougher and more complicated circumstances" than the present. Haniyeh affirmed that the political situation surrounding the Strip will "not have an effect over the ?resistance, whatever it becomes.?" He showed confidence and optimism about Arab revolutions, denouncing rumours of his movement being involved in Egypt's political issues. Haniyeh said: “The defamation attempts against Hamas will not undermine its role and pride, and will ?eventually end.”?
