Palestinian sources reported that an Israeli artillery fired a shell on a house in Shijaia district, on the eastern border of Gaza strip, in the early hours of Saturday morning. Although no injuries were reported, the house of Haitham Hajjaj was severely damaged as the shell destroyed the kitchen, he said. "Divine providence rescued my family from injury", he added. Afterwards, Abu Ali Mustapha Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), took responsibilities for targeting the are called "Nahal Oz”, east of Gaza city, with four mortar shells caliber 90 mm. Brigades said in a statement that "the shelling came in response to the advancement of the Israeli forces in the same region at 10:50 of Friday evening". "This operation came as a natural response to the crimes the Israeli occupation committed against our Palestinian People; in defense of our land and our people and as a reminder of our resistance and our defence of Palestinians against anything that may target them”, they added. In the meantime, Israeli sources reported that a rocket-propelled grenade was fired from the Gaza Strip towards the Western city of Negev late on Friday evening. The sources added that neither injuries nor damages were reported.
