Seven people were killed on Tuesday by a random shelling in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, according to the Libya's official LANA agency.
A medical source confirmed the casualties, adding that an eighth was killed by a random shooting in the same area.
The random shelling hit Bo-Hdema, an area controlled by the Libyan National Army. No group claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Benghazi, Libya's second largest city, witnesses continued clashes and similar attacks during crossfire between the army and extremist groups.
Libya, an oil-rich north African country, has fallen into a state of continuous violence since the fall of Muammar Gaddafi's regime in 2011.
The country has been suffering a security vacuum with many armed groups fighting for dominance.
