Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday that the land military operations against Houthis in Yemen aren't required now, as the militia supplies have been cut off, Al Arabiya news reported.
The Spokesperson for the operation, Brigadier Ahmed Al Asiri, told the daily press conference that the forces have heavily pounded Houthis in Sadaa and foiled their attempts to progress towards Aden and other sites in order to launch missiles.
Asiri highlighted that the Saudi land forces are guarding the borders with Yemen, while the marine forces are controlling Yemen's sea ports, and the air forces are flying over Yemen throughout the day to prevent casualties among civilians.
He revealed that Najran airport in the southern district of Saudi Arabia was temporary shut down today because of random shooting in the surroundings of the airport.
Saudi Arabia and fellow GCC member states launched airstrikes on Houthi positions in Yemen on March 26, a move condemned by Iran but supported by the United States, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco.
