Sawiris: Join the ‘Free Egyptians Party’

The Egyptian Businessman, Naguib Sawiris called on all Egyptians to join the ‘Free Egyptians Party’, that he leads, in an attempt to support the party after its fierce media campaign suffered recently following the publication of a cartoon offensive to Islam. Sawiris said in a speech on the networking site Twitter: “Join the ‘Free Egyptians Party’. We need your support.” Adding “To the silent majority; your silence is killing us, and your negativity is overloading our future.” Sawiris was subjected to a boycott by a large number of Egyptians after the publication of cartoon images depicting the Islamic religion - an error for which he later apologized.
