Two rockets were fired at Israel from southern Lebanon on Wednesday, but failed and landed well away from the target, Lebanese sources have revealed. A security report given to Arabstoday said the two "Katyusha rockets" were launched from the central sector of the south, towards Israel. They fell in an area called the Valley Alhamamush, next to the southern town of Khiam. International forces and the Lebanese army arrived in the region after the failed attack and further investigations are underway. In a separate incident, members of the Lebanese army engineering regiment dismantled two rockets on Monday afternoon before they were fired from the Shebaa area in the direction of Israel. It is believed there was a fault on the battery time and the process failed. Military authorities have carried out a private investigation.
