South Sudan declares Jonglei a disaster area

The State of South Sudan, Jonglei state has been declared a disaster area with the state appealing to the international community and humanitarian organizations, to provide assistance to those affected by tribal conflict, which erupted in the Pibor, between Allanuer and Murle tribes, as a result of theft accusations. The President of the South, Gen. Salva Kiir urged citizens to renounce violence, saying his government' is committed to provide protection for all. A source told 'Arabstoday' that people were already voicing their concerns as to the capacity of the president of South Sudan's capability to stop the violence.
