Albanian Finance Minister Arben Ahmetaj saw the latest rating of Standard & Poor's for the Albanian economy as another confirmation of the steady growth of the country's economy, local media reported on Wednesday.
In a post on social network, Ahmetaj said that the assessment made by S&P confirmed the key factors that had been previously identified by the government.
In its report, S&P noted that it expects the Albanian economy to grow by 3.7 percent in the next four years. It gave a B+ rating for Albania's long-term debt and a B for the short-term debt, thus assessing the country's economy as stable.
Ahmetaj said that S&P assessed several reforms undertaken by the government, adding that it also showed that Albania has had a sustainable economic performance that is expected to further improve in the future.
