the tidal power generator located at the seas near Xiushan Island of Zhoushan City, east China's Zhejiang Province. A 3.4-megawatt tidal power generator developed by China partially started to producing electricity on Monday. With the weight of about 2,500 tonnes, the modular generator is 70 meters long, 30 meters wide and averagely 20 meters high. The device can resist typhoons and waves up to 4 meters.
