Tunisia plans new constitution for June

Speaker of Tunisia’s National Constituent Assembly Mustapha Ben Jafar claimed on Monday parliament was planning to finish drafting a new national constitution in April, ahead of ratification in June. A special parliamentary session will discuss dates on Monday, he said. Politicians must still agree on exact dates for parliamentary and presidential elections, although they are currently rumoured to take place between October and December this year.
