The former president of the US Congress, and the current minority leader, Nancy Pelosi, has reached Cairo, on Wednesday evening, leading a large delegation to visit Egypt on a three-day tour of the region, including Tunisia and Libya. It is scheduled that Pelosi will hold meetings with some senior Egyptian officials, including Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF),the President of the Egyptian parliament Saad Al-Katatni, and PM Kamal Al-Ganzoury, to discuss strengthening the relationship between Egypt and the USA. Pelosi will hold a press conference at the end of her visit, in addition to meetings with leaders of NGO organisations, religious minorities, and a number of Egyptian political parties, including the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), the political face of the Muslim Brotherhood, to discuss the NGO foreign funding case.
