US Defence Minister meets Tantawi and Sharaf in Cairo

U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta arrived in Cairo on Tuesday in his first visit then being appointed to this current role,as he heads over to Egypt from Israel for meetings with Egyptian authorities. US sources stated that Panetta is in Cairo to hold talks with the leader of the Military Council, Hussein Tantawi and PrimeMinister Essam Sharaf, in order to discuss hanging issues between the two countries, on top of them the issue of the release of Israeli spy Eilan Chaim Jarbel. Sources believe that Panetta will accompany Jarbel upon his return to the US after proposing an increase in aids in return of releasing Jarbel.
