1 dead, 7 injured in Mafraq bus crash

A man died and seven other people were injured on Sunday when their bus crashed near the tourist destination of Umm al Jimal in the northeastern governorate of Mafraq, Civil Defence Department CDD spokesman Col. Farid Sharaa said. He said CDD rescue teams and medics headed to the site and offered aid to the injured, most of them suffered fractures and bruises, and evacuated them to the Mafraq Government Hospital. He said the injured were listed in a fair condition.
